Children may be tutored one-on-one or in a small group (no more than 4 students). The cost varies per hour depending on your preference. Each child or group will work with either the Librarian (Kendra Bowden) or the Reading Specialist (Mya Anzures). Children will be encouraged to explore reading through a multi-sensory approach to practicing decoding, fluency, and comprehension. Lessons will be designed around the individual needs of each child/group.
Between the two of us we have earned 2 bachelor's degrees and 2 master's degrees. We have taught Kindergarten-8th grade in all subject areas with special focus given to reading and writing. Kendra has been an educator for 9 years and Mya has been an educator for 10 years. Through encouragement and determination children will believe in themselves, take risks, and succeed.
